So heres the thing, I've been doing some research on how other people use their art journals and what they put into them, when I saw that so many artists using Gesso as a medium, I had to try it for myself. I admit my style of journaling is completely different from other journal artist out there so I was a bit weary of putting something "wet" into my journals that wasn't watercolor. I happened upon a tub of Gesso on the clearance aisle at Hobby Lobby, naturally I decided to go ahead and give it a try. This was actually kind of fun to work with, and while I don't think I'll be putting it into my journals anytime soon, I now have a way of "starting with a clean slate" if you will and covering all of my not so good collages from my early days, and using them again with the knowledge i've gained over the years.
